1 Cup Butter Melted then cooled (salted or unsalted both work) 1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar Light or dark ½ Cup Granulated Sugar 2 Large Eggs Room temperature 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract Pure vanilla extract is recommended 1½ Cups All-Purpose Flour 1 Tsp Baking Soda 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon ½ Tsp Salt 3 Cups Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats Uncooked 1½ Cups Raisins I like to soften them and plump them up by putting them in boiling water for a few minutes
Cream the base In a large mixing bowl, beat the melted cooled butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Combine the dry ingredients In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
